North Van Arts is currently hiring:
Camp Creative Lead Instructors for Spring Break and Summer 2026
Camp Creative offers weeklong creative experiences for children ages 6–11. Each week features a different artist instructor leading activities across visual arts, drama, writing, textiles arts, nature-based projects, and outdoor play.
The Lead Camp Instructor will design and deliver a week of engaging, hands-on creative activities. You will plan, lead, and adapt projects for children while ensuring a positive, safe, and inclusive environment. North Van Arts provides a weekly planning template to help structure your sessions, you simply fill it in with your activities.
REMUNERATION & HOURS
Salary: $35 per hour
Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily (includes 30 min lunch & setup and takedown), 40 hours per week
Dates:
Spring Camp: Monday – Friday, March 16–27, 2026
Summer Camps: Monday – Friday, July 6 – August 28, 2026
Artsts instructors
North Van Arts offers a range of arts programming for children, youth, and adults at two North Vancouver locations:
CityScape Gallery (Lower Lonsdale): Public exhibition space, home to Date Nights and select workshops.
Maplewood House (Dollarton): Light-filled heritage building beside the Seymour River, primary space for courses, workshops, and children’s camps.
Programs include:
Adults: Date Nights (monthly, Thursday evenings),
Adult & Youth: 4-Week Courses held on the weekend in Painting, Drawing, Print, Textiles & occasional 4 – Week online classes.
Children (6–11): Spring & Summer Camp Creative week-long immersive camps featuring visual arts, theatre, writing, textiles, nature-based projects, and outdoor play.
Anyone interested in being a lead instructor with us must fill out an Instructor Application Form.
