Bany Declair
Acrylic Painting
READ MORE
Bany started oil painting at the age of 14. She reproduced many different art pieces, including Dali, Vincent van Gogh, and Cezanne, and her first original piece: a portrait of Albert Einstein. Bany's love for painting only matched her passion for physics and chemistry. Her dedication to Art and science and her ability to excel are genuinely inspiring. Initially, she pursued her academic interests in French Civilization at Sorbonne and Applied Maths at the University of Pierre Marrie Currie. However, her heart was drawn to a different path. After two full years in Applied Math, Bany's passion for Art blossomed in the artistic hub of Paris, leading her to a new direction in her academic journey. She enrolled in a Private Art Atelier, "Atelier Prive De Sevre," for two years of extensive art practices and education, where she also studied Design and Advertising. Bany absorbed this Parisian artistic and cultural immersive experience and carried it through her professional career. In 1987, she immigrated from Paris, France, to Montreal, Canada, where she pursued her academic education further. She earned another Art and Graphic Design degree and an M.A. in Communications. Her son was born in Montreal. Right after she graduated from the School of Design, she started as an Art Director and infographist in a prestigious Design Firm in Old Montreal at a very young age. In 2016, she dropped all the technologies and started painting full-time in Calgary. Alberta was a new Era for her, as the Spirit of the Rocky Mountains opened visual creations dominated by colours on big canvases with joyful subjects. Since 2023, she has resided in North Vancouver and has featured Art in a few galleries. In 2024, she worked beside a few First Nation Artists, and her Art became influenced by her close work with these Indigenous artists.
