Arts in the Garden 2023 – Garden Application Form

Thank you for your interest in participating as a garden location in Arts in the Garden 2023!

Arts in the Garden is an annual event that celebrates creativity while inviting community to reflect on our relationship to the land and to those who share it with us. Throughout the weekend of May 27th and 28th, 2023, we will be placing visual artists, musicians and performers in outdoor spaces across the North Shore to create spaces of connection, collaboration and play.

We are especially interested in working with gardeners who are attentive to and willing to share their knowledge about tending to the land in a sustainable way that ensures it is healthy and thriving for generations to come, who are aware of the ongoing history of the land they are on, and who work to find ways to share their space with community.

Arts in the Garden is a continuously evolving event. As the event transforms to adapt to our community’s needs and our organizations’ capacity, we cannot guaruntee that all gardeners previously involved will be able to be part of this year’s event; we appreciate your understanding and your support, and look forward to continuing to develop our relationship with you in future.

The extended deadline to apply is Tuesday, November 29th at 12:00pm.

We will be processing applications in later November. We will reach out to potential gardens in late November for site surveys, and aim to determine successful applicants before we close for winter break mid December. We thank all applicants for their interest, time and energy, however we will not be able to accomodate all garden applicants for Arts in the Garden 2023.

To apply for Arts in the Garden 2023, please fill out the form below. You can contact our Events and Community Development Manager, Katherine Gear Chambers, at katherine@northvanarts.ca with any questions. Thank you!
