 There are ten categories that make up the North Shore Culture Compass that correspond with the symbols below.
To find your square’s label, take the letter from the horizontal (B,I,N,G,O) and the number from the vertical (1,2,3,4,5).

When searching the Culture Compass for keywords, put a % symbol in front of your search word (no space!).
Example: searching for ‘ecology’, type %ecology in the search bar.

UNDER THE B:

B1 Heritage Trail
Can you see any red lines on the map? Click at any point on the line to see which Treasure Hunt you’ve found. Take a photo/screenshot! Save the online clue sheet to complete another time!

B2  Lynn Canyon Ecology Centre
In the cultural & natural heritage category, zoom into Lynn Valley, or type %ecology in the search bar.

B3  CityScape Community ArtSpace 
In the cultural spaces & facilities category, zoom to Lower Lonsdale, or type %CityScape in the search bar.

B4  Pride Crosswalk 
In the cultural & natural heritage category, you can find 4 Pride Crosswalks across the North Shore. Type %pride in the search bar to locate them.

B5  Library
In the public institutions category, type %library in the search bar to locate all 5 librairies on the North Shore. Pick one – go visit!

UNDER THE I:

I1 Theatre
In the cultural spaces & facilities category, type %theatre in the search bar or move around the map to find a one. Go see your neighbourhood theatre, take a picture outside or go see a show!

I2 Animal in Coast Salish Design
In the First Nations category, click on a paw to find an animal. Practice how to say the name in Sḵwx̱wú7mesh sníchim (Squamish language).

I3 Inuit Gallery
In the creative & cultural industries category, search %inuit. A recent addition to the North Shore cultural scene, and worth a visit.

I4 Treasure Hunt
Can you see lines on the map in the All and the cultural & natural heritage categories? The red ones are Treasure Hunts. Pick one, click anywhere on the line to find the name of the Treasure Hunt.  To keep the fun going, follow the clues to more cultural treasures!

I5 Silk Purse Arts Centre
In the cultural spaces & facilities category, type %silk in the search bar, or zoom to the location (hint: waves sometimes lap at their window). Always lots going on there, so go check it out!

N1 Seymour Art Gallery
In the cultural spaces & facilities category, type %seymour in the search field. New exhibition opened on Feb 16, visit before its over on March 18.

N2 Library
In the public institutions category, type %library in the search bar to locate all 5 librairies on the North Shore. Pick one – go visit!

N3 Your Choice!
Choose any listing on the Culture Compass. Any category. Any neighbourhood.

N4 Event     
In the festivals & events category, find an annual or current event by clicking on the orange map points or in the list. Take a photo/screenshot!

N5 Public Art
In the public art category, explore to find a work that you like, that tells a story that interests you, or locate the work of public art closest to your home.

G2 Coho Interpretive Zone
In the All and cultural & natural heritage categories, there are green lines running north-south. Some are trails, 4 of them are Coho Interpretive Zones.

G3 MONOVA: Museum of North Vancouver   
In the cultural organizations category, zoom to the Shipyards District or type %museum in the search bar.

G4 Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) Placename
