(WE STILL HAVE SPACE ON THE PROGRAMME)
‘Please note: After School Art is only open to students at the school where the programme occurs.’
8-11 (grades 3-5) *
Starting January 2023 we will be delivering our new After Schools Arts programme at Queen Marys Elementary. The 16-week program will introduce Place-Based art activities, to inspire kids to create their own works of art inspired by the place where they live – come join us!
What is Place-Based arts? Using the Culture Compass as a reference point, you’ll be asked to deliver visual art activities inspired by public art on the North Shore. Each week you’ll start by looking at local public art using different techniques, processes, and materials to inspire kids to create their own works inspired by place. https://www.northshoreculturecompass.ca/
What we offer;
- FUN, EXPLORE art techniques, and practice creative SELF-EXPRESSION after school in a positive and encouraging environment
- A chance to CONNECT with the place where we live and play
