NEW! This exciting camp will culminate in a professional exhibition at CityScape Community ArtSpace, where participants’ works will be showcased to the public from April 19 to 26, 2025. The camp experience will include a collaborative mural and the display of their zines and paintings in a gallery setting—an inspiring opportunity for young artists to see their creations in a professional space.
At North Van Arts, our camps go beyond traditional kids’ programming. We encourage young artists to think beyond the walls of the venue and explore how their artistic ideas can create meaningful change. Through engaging themes like eco-art, environmental stewardship, and public art, participants will explore a range of mediums such as storytelling, music, and foraged materials, all while developing a personal artistic voice.
The camp experience extends beyond the studio, immersing kids in creative exploration and empowering them to see how art can shape the future. Their work will be celebrated in a professional exhibition, allowing them to share their creativity with the world.
About the Camp:
At Exhibition Camp, young artists will explore the art of storytelling through illustration. They’ll dive into creative techniques to bring stories to life, from making their own zines to contributing to a collaborative mural. Inspired by storybooks and the natural world, participants will experiment with drawing, painting, and zine-making, all while developing their own artistic style and preparing their work for the professional exhibition at CityScape.
Please send your camper with:
- Lunch/snacks
- Reusable water bottle
- Running shoes/sneakers (no flip-flops)
- Rain jacket and boots for rainy days
- Anything they need for allergies or medication
Age limit: We have designed this camp and employed instructors with experience working with the age range of 6-11 years old. Please do not sign up unless your child is 6+ or more on the day of camp.

*Please be aware when booking camps, untimely cancellations might lead to missed opportunities for other families and lead to financial strain on our non-profit organization. We request you let us know promptly if you need to cancel or switch camps so we can make the necessary arrangements to fill the vacancy.
