Welcome to Camp Creative at Maplewood House, the spring break camp where kids explore nature and the arts. Our 16 campers will be divided into two groups that will alternate between indoor art activities with our Art Instructor and outdoor games and explorations with our Camp Leader. We have a high instructor to camper ratio so kids will have lots of individual attention, and we make fun a top priority!
During Drama week, campers will spend the week exploring interactive theatre games and beginning improv exercises, Students will work on a project to present their families by the end of the week.
Campers will need:
- Weather appropriate clothing (we will be going outside in all conditions)
- Hat
- Sunscreen
- Water Bottle
- Packed Lunch
- Hand sanitizer
COVID-19 Safety Measures at camp:
-All parents of campers and staff will sign a waiver daily stating that they have experienced no symptoms of Covid-10 before entering camp. Staff are not permitted to work if they are showing symptoms of Covid-19.
-Any camper showing COVID-19 symptoms will be immediately sent home. All parents are asked NOT to send their child to camp if they are showing COVID-19 symptoms.
-All campers and staff will wash hands with soap or sanitize hands upon entry into the building, and before and after any washroom visits and mealtimes, and at the end of the day.
-Our group size of maximum of 12 campers will be divided into two groups of maximum 6 each. The groups will alternate between indoor art activities with our art instructor and outdoor games and explorations with our camp activities leader. This way we reduce the number of children indoors at any given time.
-Each camper will have their own table when working on art activities
-Each camper will have their own cubby for their belongings and their own art supply kit. We will minimize sharing supplies as much as possible.
-Maplewood House will be cleaned twice daily, disinfecting commonly touched surfaces.
-Physical distancing will be adhered to as much as possible
