About the Sessions
Practice your drawing skills in a friendly, non-competitive environment.
Each session features professional nude models, with a focus on diversity in age, gender, and body shape.
This group welcomes both beginner and experienced artists.
Cost: $175 (5 weeks)
What to Expect
Each 3-hour session includes:
- Short warm-up poses (1–2 minutes)
- Longer poses (5–25 minutes)
This is a facilitated, not instructed class.
Skills you’ll develop:
- Confidence working with a nude model
- Gesture and quick-capture drawing
- Stamina and form-building
- Ability to draw a wide range of body types
Who should attend:
- Students who can work independently
- Artists who enjoy practicing for extended periods
- Anyone looking to connect with the local life drawing community
What to Bring
We provide chairs, easels, and a few drawing donkeys.
Please bring:
- Your own drawing materials, paper, and drawing board
- Your own snacks (there’s a break midway, sharing is welcome!)
Artists typically use pencils, charcoal, ink, pastels, or watercolor.
Note: poses are too short for acrylic or oil painting.

You can register for Group A, Group B, or both, we also offer individual sessions, the format is the same, but more sessions mean more chances to draw!
Parking & Arrival
Extra parking is available on Seymour River Place and at Kenneth Gordon Maplewood School.
Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to set up your workspace.
House Rules & Safety
- Emergency Procedure: Exit through the front door and gather at the playground across the street.
- No Photography: Out of respect for our models’ privacy.
- Phones: Please silence your phone.
- Respect: Maintain a quiet environment and avoid commenting on others’ work or models’ physical characteristics.
Registration closes at midnight on the Wednesday before the first session begins.
