We’ve expanded! Due to popular demand, we’ve added a second grouping of Life Drawing sessions, giving artists even more opportunities to draw and connect.
Group A and Group B each has 6 sessions. The cost for each group is $210. We will be offering individual sessions for $40 a day.
- Registration for Group Sessions will open July 31.
- Registration for Individual sessions will open later in August.
Come join us to practice your drawing skills in a friendly, non-competitive environment. We feature professional models who pose unclothed, with an emphasis on diversity in age, gender, and body shape. This group welcomes both amateur and experienced artists of all skill levels. This series is facilitated by two instructors — Sandrine Pelissier, and Kenzie Pattillo, a reminder no formal instruction is provided.
Each 3-hour session includes a series of short warm-up poses (1–2 minutes), followed by a few longer poses (5 to 15–25 minutes).
Group A Sessions:
September 7
September 21
October 5
October 26
November 16
November 30
You can register for Group A, Group B, or both — there’s no difference in structure or content, just more chances to draw. Note: there are no sessions on Thanksgiving weekend (Oct 12) or Remembrance Day weekend (Nov 9).
What should I bring?
We provide life-drawing essentials: chairs, easels, a few drawing donkeys, and music. Please bring your own drawing materials, paper, and board. Artists typically use pencils, charcoal, ink, pastels, or watercolor. Poses are too short for acrylic or oil painting.
If you have a light, portable easel, you’re welcome to bring it.
There will be a mid-session break — feel free to bring food for yourself or to share.
Parking
Extra parking is available on Seymour River Place and at the Kenneth Gordon Maplewood School parking lot.
Please arrive 10–15 minutes early to set up your workspace.
