During the week young artists will learn how to dye fabric and create patterns using traditional tie-dye and Shibori resist dyeing techniques. They will explore several ways of folding, pleating, wrapping, tying, and clamping the fabrics in order to produce beautiful surprising effects! Our young Artists will learn about color theory and the culture of textiles from around the world.

Our focus will be on learning traditional techniques to inspire the young artist to apply and develop their own personal contemporary language.
