North Shore Art Hive: where everyone is an artist. Learn how to use art to manage stress in your everyday life with a focus on our natural resources.

What is an Art Hive? We believe art making is a human behavior that offers the meaning-making tools required to adjust to our new realities. The Art Hive acts as a container, a sacred space that welcomes everyone to take part in self-directed art making, and in community with others. The facilitator encourages art making with a specific intention or art directive and is available to offer suggestions for art-making if needed.

This summer, the focus will be on Eco-Art, opening the door to nature and it’s the ability to support our inner world as we manage the stress in everyday life.  Examples of Art making Materials: natural resources, simple art materials, like markers, colored pencils, pastels, paint, ink, paper, images for collage, glue, textiles, and recycled materials can all be used. All materials are included, no previous art experience is necessary.
