Art in the Community Presents Ania Salmina | The Light At The End Of The Tunnel
Ania is a mixed-media artist known for her vibrant colors and expressive strokes in figurative work. Ania’s artistic path began at 11 in art school. Later, she shifted to architecture, refining her skills in human anatomy, geometric compositions, and technical drawing over eight years.
For the next decade after earning a Master’s in Architecture, she worked on large-scale projects. In 2020, amid the pandemic and early motherhood, she developed her signature “drawing jokes” – figures with oversized hands and tiny heads. Her first series succeeded in exhibitions, leading to commissions and full-time teaching. Now, in fine arts, Ania is on her journey to define the artistic identity. She is searching for the color combinations, compositions and themes that suits her current period the most.
The Light at the end of the Tunnel explores the ups and downs of the artist way with an optimistic vision of the future despite the many waves along the way.
