Call for Artists – Anonymous Art Show 2023

See the 2023 Anonymous Art Show Here

Submissions for the 2023 Anonymous Art Show are now closed!

This group exhibition and fundraising event includes both emerging and established artists. All artwork will be available to view and purchase online, reaching a wide audience, while the exhibition will be installed at CityScape Community ArtSpace, with in-person preview and exhibition viewing. All purchases will be exclusively online.

The magic of this show is that each artist remains anonymous until after their work has sold. Participating artists are required to sign only the back of the canvas to keep their identity unknown. Once a painting is purchased, it is removed from the wall and replaced with a sold tag, revealing the artist’s name.

The Anonymous Art Show is an important fundraiser for North Van Arts, and we encourage you to take part and join in the fun!

Participating artists apply online. Up to 3 submissions are allowed.

The Artwork

All pieces are 8” x 8” X 1.5” on unframed canvas or wood panels.

Each artist can submit up to 3 pieces. Each piece must have the title and signature on the back.

Artist Commission

Each piece is sold for $100, and sales are divided 50/50 between the artist and North Van Arts.

Pay It Forward!

Artists can also choose to donate their portion ($50 per piece) of the sale of their artwork to support North Van Arts programmes, and receive a tax receipt.

Artwork Drop-Off

Participants must complete the online submission form and receive confirmation of their submission before dropping-off their artwork.

Online Sales

There will be an in-person preview and exhibition, but all artworks will be available to purchase online only. The Online Sale will begin on Thursday, November 23, at 7pm and will run until Tuesday, December 19 at 5pm.

  • Full name, signature, title and website (if applicable) written on the back of canvas.
