About the North Shore Art Crawl

The North Shore Art Crawl is a free community arts event that celebrates the creative energy of our local artists and enables cultural vitality. The objective is to feature artists in approachable and accessible art venues that encourage the community to connect and celebrate expression and diversity. We engage, inspire, and transform the North Shore through inclusive alliances among artists and the community.

Arts in the Garden Online 2021

June 12-27, 2021

The 2021 edition of Arts in the Garden is once again adapted online to keep our community safe during the ongoing pandemic. We are keeping the spirit of the event alive through film and activities to engage audiences at home and outside with a series of Artist Vignettes and three Garden Concert videos.

ARTIST VIGNETTES

are short videos to inspire you to connect with nature through activities guided by local artists, reflecting, collecting & creating from our local land-base. Some activities will be accompanied by instructions & supply lists, making it fun and simple to create arts-based projects in your gardens or local parks!

Artists: Isabelle Kirouac, Margaret Joba-Woodruff, T’uy’t’tanat-Cease Wyss, Kwiigay iiwaans, Jaz, & Oliver, Sesemiya (Tracy Williams), Willoughby Arevalo

Art in the Garden Online 2020

Due to risks brought on by the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) Art in the Garden 2020 was transformed into an online platform.  We hope this unique edition provided visual artists and musicians an opportunity to reach out to their audiences, and for audiences to experience some local talent, staying connected in these uncertain times. For the month of May, we posted videos of musicians and artists in their gardens, or showing us how they are inspired by nature, on YouTube and Instagram. We also hosted live-stream art & music collaborations on the original weekend scheduled for Art in the Garden via Instagram. Artists responded and create two artworks inspired by live music performances all performed from their own, separate outdoor spaces. Event schedule and feature artists. Event web site.
