Bev Ellis | Broken: Together
December 5, 2017 – February 23, 2018
Artist Talk: January 17
This installation is an exploration of relationships, identity and isolation. Bev transforms clay to mimic tree bark and contemplates human emotions of vulnerability, imperfection and raw beauty through nature. Clay allows Bev to represent texture in captivating forms.
“I have always loved nature. The flaws and uniqueness of trees speak of loveliness to me. I am an artist and playful gardener who loves bringing nature indoors whenever possible.”
Bev is an artist, jewellery designer and art teacher. She studied Fine Arts at UFV and has continued to grow through experimentation. Her artwork is part of private and corporate collections across Canada, the USA, England and New Zealand.
