Call for Artists: Exhibition Proposals 2024 Season

North Van Arts is currently accepting exhibition proposals for 2024 season at CityScape Community ArtSpace.

All exhibitions at CityScape Community ArtSpace are group shows; all proposals submitted should be for three artists or more. Please refer to our Proposal Guidelines for more details. 

PROPOSAL GUIDELINES
CityScape Community ArtSpace at North Van Arts is a space for you to display your artwork and create a dialogue to spark new conversations with the community. Exhibition proposals should be well researched and outline a clear concept relating to contemporary issues. We encourage you to consider themes that you believe should be at the forefront of life today, either locally, nationally, or internationally. For example, artists could consider climate change, body positivity, diversity, autonomy, environmental impacts, the natural world, inclusivity, confronting social norms, innovation, and change.  If you would like more information about past exhibitions, please visit here.

Our mandate is to enable emerging and professional artists of all disciplines to bridge cultures and build strong communities through the arts, creating an inclusive environment accessible to everyone. North Van Arts welcomes artwork from all mediums and accepts exhibition proposals from artists and non-artists in the local and wider community.

North Van arts encourages applicants of all races, ethnicities, identities, abilities, ages, and genders, to apply. You do not have to be an artist to submit a proposal and suggest an exhibition idea. We are open to accepting exhibition ideas from all members of the community. If we like your idea, we put an open call for artists and curate a show based on your idea. Artists must submit a group proposal that has a cohesive and original theme.; however, individual artists can submit a theme with the intention of an open call.

Tuesday, April 11, 2022 at midnight.
