Call for Entry: Image / Object (Photosculpture)
Deadline to Submit: September 15, 2025

North Van Arts is currently accepting submissions for photography based artwork to be included in the exhibition Image / Object, which will take place at CityScape Gallery from April 10, 2026 –  May, 23 2026 with an Opening Reception on April 9, 2026.

Metro Vancouver has long been a site of innovation in photographic art, with many artists helping to free photography from the confines of pure imagery.

Building on this legacy,  Image / Object invites submissions exploring photo-based work incorporating elements of collage or sculpture and photosculpture, the fusion of photography with three-dimensional form.

This group exhibition seeks work at the intersection of photography, sculpture, and installation. We are looking for artists who push photography beyond the flat image. Whether through physical layering, object-making, or installation, photosculpture reimagines the photographic medium as something to be experienced as much as seen.

We welcome innovative uses of materials such as paper, wood, film, fabric, resin, plastic, glass, metal, light, and found objects, as well as practices that emphasize process, transformation, reproduction and the photograph as a sculptural element.

Selected works should challenge the boundary between image and object, encouraging viewers to engage with photography in new ways.

Deadline to Submit: September 15, 2025
