CityScape Community ArtSpace Gallery - What We Hold Close Open
North Van Arts holds various juried open calls for art and exhibitions at CityScape Community Artspace throughout the year. What We Hold lose is currently open, which will take place at CityScape Gallery from January 19- February 28,2025.
Deadline to Submit: October 30, 2025
North Van Arts invites artists to submit proposals for What We Hold Close, an exhibition exploring the physical and symbolic spaces of domestic life and what it is to feel “at home”.
This group exhibition will feature 2D and 3D artworks made from, inspired by, or challenging household and domestic spaces, objects and materials, in a variety of mediums.
Art Rental Program - OPEN
Art Rental promotes the appreciation of visual arts in our community by making the work of local artists available for display in homes, offices and film and television production sets while provides individuals and businesses with an affordable and flexible way to enjoy a wide range of quality, original two-dimensional works including paintings, photography and mixed media works.

Call for Artist Instructors- CALL OPEN
North Van Arts offers a range of arts programming for children, youth, and adults at two North Vancouver locations:
CityScape Gallery (Lower Lonsdale): Public exhibition space, home to Date Nights and select workshops.
Maplewood House (Dollarton): Light-filled heritage building beside the Seymour River, primary space for courses, workshops, and children’s camps.
Programs include:
Adults: Date Nights (monthly, Thursday evenings),
Adult & Youth: 4-Week Courses held on the weekend in Painting, Drawing, Print, Textiles & occasional 4 – Week online classes.
Children (6–11): Spring & Summer Camp Creative week-long immersive camps featuring visual arts, theatre, writing, textiles, nature-based projects, and outdoor play.
Anyone interested in being a lead instructor with us must fill out an Instructor Application Form.
Instructors interested in leading Camp Creative must also apply to the Camp Creative Job Posting.

Anonymous Art Show - CLOSED
Every year since 2003, the Anonymous Art Show exhibits over 600 artworks on 8” x 8” canvases, from emerging and established artists in our CityScape Community Artspace. Each artwork is $120 to purchase, and proceeds are split 50/50 between the artist and North Van Arts. Participating artists can choose to retain or donate the proceeds from each sold artwork to North Van Arts. This is a fun event and our biggest FUNdraiser of the year for our organization.
This call has now closed. Artists can drop off their artwork between October 15 – November 1, at CityScape Gallery.
North Shore Art Crawl -CLOSED
North Shore Art Crawl are Oct 3-5, 2025.
Now in its fifteenth year, the North Shore Art Crawl is an annual celebration of local creativity and artistic talent. This free community event invites the public to explore a vibrant mix of galleries, studios, community centres, art schools, and local businesses across the North Shore.
Registration for the 2025 North Shore Art Crawl is closed. Registration for the 2026 North Shore Art Crawl will open late Spring 2026.
You Are Here Calendar - CLOSED
North Van Arts has been producing the You Are Here calendar since 2017, as a fundraiser for the online culture map, the North Shore Culture Compass. This calendar tells the story of the region through artistically rendered images of locations, places, or scenes that are recognizably in North Vancouver or West Vancouver, on part of the territories of the Squamish Nation and Tsleil-Waututh Nation. By submitting your art, you add your voice to this story, and inspire people to imagine that You Are Here.

Arts in the Garden
Submissions are usually open from January to mid-February.
Pushing Boundaries
The next call for Indigenous Curators will be open in the Spring of 2025.
