CityScape Community ArtSpace is an outstanding contemporary art space owned by the City of North Vancouver and programmed and managed by North Van Arts. Through bi-annual calls for exhibition proposals , we seek dynamic and diverse themed exhibitions.
This very unique public exhibition space was created in 2001 by the creative vision of the North Vancouver Community Arts Council and the Mayor, Council and City staff of the day. It operates under the very thoughtful mission statement of: “to celebrate and promote art and artists through quality experiences in a unique and inviting gallery space, and to create an inclusive environment which enriches and encourages interaction in the community.“
All exhibitions are group based, themed and must have an interactive component to engage the broader community. Ideas for exhibitions come from the community and beyond and are adjudicated by a submissions committee.
This creative approach continually results in truly remarkable and diverse art exhibitions.
