Xàlek’/Sek’yú Siyám Chief Ian Campbell (Sḵwx̱wú7mesh)

Xàlek’/Sek’yú Siyám Chief Ian Campbell is from the Squamish Nation and was born and raised on the North Shore. He incorporates traditional Coast Salish art forms along with realism to portray the rich mythology and profound connections between the natural world and the spirit realms. Ian has in-depth knowledge of his traditional territory, its history, and its stories. This knowledge informs every piece he creates.

Olivia George (səl̓ilwətaɬ)

Olivia George’s love  for creating art began in elementary school, continued throughout high school and led to attaining a Graphic Design diploma. Art in the Community

Art in the Community is a program facilitated by North Van Arts, with a mandate to celebrate local emerging and professional artists through exhibitions in community spaces. We aim to support North Shore artists and increase public awareness of and access to the visual arts. In partnership with North Vancouver District Public Library, and the District of North Vancouver, this program has exhibition spaces at the Lynn Valley Library and the District Hall of North Vancouver.
