North Van Arts offers our 4th virtual exhibition from our Art Rental collection. Here is a selection of pieces that lovingly present the animals who inhabit the air, the land, and the water of our world. Whether they be crows, ravens, chickens, owls, bears, fox, wolf, deer, rabbit, a cat, or koi in a stream, many of our artists use animal imagery rendered through a variety of media.
Exhibiting Artists: Adele Maskwasowiskwew Arseneau, Lori Bagneres, Karen Brumelle, Lorn Curry, Damian George, Rose Heart, Winnie Lo, Carole Lyne Lussier, Jean Morrison, Marisa Mary Myrah, Liz Perry, Sarah Ronald, Kim Rosin, Wendy Schmidt, Joan Skeet, Elisabeth Sommerville.
Our Art Rental Collection features over 400 original works in a wide variety of styles and subjects from more than 150 artists. Artworks include paintings, photographs, prints and drawings in a range of sizes.
ABOUT THE VIRTUAL EXHIBITIONS
While North Van Arts was closed to the public, we explored ways to safely engage with the community during the pandemic. As one of several new initiatives, we launched a virtual gallery platform to highlight selected works from our Art Rental Collection. The initial feedback from artists and clients has been overwhelmingly positive. The virtual gallery feature is presented in a series of themed and curated 3D exhibitions accessible through our website.
While North Van Arts programmes, CityScape Community ArtSpace and the Art Rental Collection have now re-opened to the public, we’ll continue to offer these popular virtual galleries on an on-going basis. More virtual galleries are being designed and will be rolled out as they are completed.
