About Art Rental
Art rental is an affordable and flexible way to enjoy original 2-dimensional art. Our Art Rental Programme represents approximately 150 artists with over 450 original works in a wide variety of styles and subjects. Artworks include paintings, photography and mixed media with pieces ranging in size from 12″ x 12″ to 48″ x 48″. View the Art Rental Collection through our online gallery or in person during gallery hours.
To rent artwork*, you need to have a current membership with North Van Arts ($25-35 annually for basic, $150 for corporate) and complete a Art Rental Client Contract. This is done in person during gallery hours. Artwork can also be purchased outright. Applicable taxes apply to rental fee and purchase price.
New! Virtual 3D galleries of the Art Rental Collection
ABOUT THE VIRTUAL EXHIBITIONS
While North Van Arts was closed to the public, we explored ways to safely engage with the community during the pandemic. As one of our new initiatives, we launched a virtual gallery platform to highlight selected works from our Art Rental Collection. The virtual gallery feature is presented in a series of themed and curated 3D exhibitions accessible through our website. In 2020, we curated five virtual exhibitions for the public to enjoy from the comfort of their home.
The initial feedback from artists and clients has been overwhelmingly positive. While North Van Arts programmes, CityScape Community ArtSpace and the Art Rental Collection have now re-opened to the public, we’ve decided to continue to offer these popular virtual galleries on an on-going basis. More virtual galleries are being designed and will be rolled out as they are completed.
We invite you to explore the current virtual exhibition Adventure: Works from the Art Rental Collection.
