About the Artist

Inspired by natural colours of raw plants, Earth calling for new ways of doing things and an appreciation of alchemical experimentation, Andrea infuses her artistic processes with a love for slow living. Every piece of up-cycled clothing is imbued with innate plant colours, fresh rain water, sunshine, mountain air, bird song, and wind. All recycled paper products and garments are fashioned in an unhurried practice allowing petals, leaves, twigs, acorns, fruits, and herbs to saturate the materials without the aid of chemical products. Andrea's artistic processes are non-static, continually unfolding with new discoveries in relationship to the plant kingdom and the elements. Now retired from a school system where imagination and originality was woven through the curriculum Andrea considers herself a curator of her own creative work and lifestyle. She embraces a quiet life in a forest with her husband surrounded by the sounds, scents and the beauty of nature where she draws inspiration
