About the Artist

Brian Minichiello has painted and sold his artwork throughout Canada and internationally. He graduated from Vancouver Film School as a classical animator, trained by Disney and Dream Works artists, then pursued his life-long passion in fine art. Brian is based out of his Mount Pleasant studio/gallery: Minichiello Studio. Distinctly Pacific West Coast, he paints to establish connections with the natural world, because he feels we are alienating, and isolating ourselves from nature. Best known for his epic skies, Brian’s masterful use of light and movement capture an audience’s attention, while his meticulous attention to detail draws imaginations to the narratives of each painting. After more than 20 years of dedication, Brian has realized, art is the purest form of freedom, and infuses his artwork with an aspect of that uplifting feeling. “An artist can stand facing any direction, choose to travel as far as he wants, for as long as he wants. Rarely should he hold a compass."
