About the Artist
Caroline would describe her journey to becoming an artist as a long meandering trail. As a child, she loved art. This was obvious from her beautifully illustrated school projects. However, her immigrant parents dissuaded her from going into art so she studied engineering and worked for TELUS. A decade later, she quit her job in order to raise her children. Her childhood dream of becoming an artist was a distant memory but that changed when Caroline enrolled in a painting class. She received encouragement and direction from her mentor and peers. She started selling her work, taking on commissioned work, and became an active member of the North Shore Artists’ Guild. She loves to depict the Canadian wilderness; hiking provides her an endless source of inspiration. Caroline feels fortunate to be able to devote herself to creating art - art that brings joy to others.
