About the Artist

After a 20 year career in Medical Illustration, and as a resident of North Vancouver for more than 30 years, I continue to be stunned by the beauty of British Columbia. Most recently I have immersed myself in a Capilano River Canyon series. Daily dog walks in the canyon adjacent to my home in North Vancouver, in ever changing conditions, have inspired these paintings. Having passed many summertime hours in another small porch studio at a beloved family haven on Otter Lake, Ontario, I’m happy to share some of the paintings I have produced there, all evocative of life in the heart of Ontario's Rideau Lakes Cottage Country - lake, sky, boats, ever changing light, a water loving yellow lab and a chipmunk crazy springer spaniel, all continue to provide endless subjects to paint. I have always had a passion for portraiture and have a significant portfolio of commissioned works, as well as many other assorted works, from Parisian Cafes to pastries to assorted far flung landscapes.
