About the Artist

Ann Marie, alongside her two daughters call the north shore of Vancouver home.  Soulroots was conceived unwittingly during Ann Marie's own journey of healing. Connecting with nature and creative expression were critical to her own growth and healing.  Her passion for the outdoors, deep respect for nature and background in floristry naturally drew her to biophilic design. She is inspired to share the beauty of the forest, bringing its healing and calming energies indoors through her unique moss art creations. An integral part of her vision in creating Soulroots moss art was to give back to organizations committed to helping trauma survivors rebuild their lives and protecting the future generations by supporting children living in difficult situations. "I wanted to pay special reverence to our indigenous community whose roots are so deeply aligned with living in harmony with nature and and whose people suffered atrocities which will impact generations to come."
