About the Artist

Spirit Gallery, established in 1991, is a warm and welcoming Indigenous owned art gallery and gift shop featuring Northwest Coast Native art. Erin Sam, who grew up in West Vancouver, worked at the gallery part time while in high school and took over management in 1997, around the time she met her husband, renowned Squamish/Kwakwaka’wakw artist Klatle-bhi. They married in 2000 and purchased the Spirit Gallery in 2003In the gallery you will discover a diverse and impressive collection of contemporary and traditional art and design, including silver, gold and copper jewellery, masks, totem poles, stone, sculpture, prints, clothing and wide range of unique gifts. We aspire to showcase the best in First Nations art and share an understanding of the stories behind the art. We represent numerous established and emerging artists from many different First Nations communities.
