About the Artist

Sunny Cho was born and raised in South Korea. She worked in the fashion industry as a designer before moving to North Vancouver, B.C. in 2002. Sunny had the chance to join a local artist group in 2005 and fell in love with painting. Her love for art has only grown since then as painting still brings her great happiness. Sunny’s professional works mainly consists of acrylics and watercolour. She has painted a number of different subjects including people, animals, landscapes, flowers and still-life. Her subjects consist of everything in her life. She believes that all things have their own beauty. Creating on canvas or paper is a simple act of self-expression. Painting itself is very soothing for Sunny, and is something that is joyful and rewarding – particularly when she signs the corner. Sunny is a member of the North Shore Artists’ Guild (NSAG), an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists (FCA), as well as the North Vancouver Community Arts Council.
