About the Artist

My inspiration to paint comes from my experiences and connections with people, animals, and nature. The passion I bring to my work is to create stories and emotions greater than my own. Studying art at Sheridan Applied Arts and Technology for 1 year I knew I needed to leave my comfort zone to continue to grow. The West Coast is where I found an instant connection with the ocean, streams, mountains and people. While working in a corporate career and raising my 2 boys with my husband I kept my passion for painting alive studying part-time at BCIT and Capilano University, many workshops with master artists and continue to do so. As of July 2022, I became a full-time emerging artist. Life experiences and staying curious helps prepare each one of my canvases. Akin to the feeling of wonderment while surrounded by nature, the emotion I experience with each paintbrush stroke is joyful and humbling. Acrylic is my primary medium enjoying the versatility and vibrant colours.
