British-born artist Cath Hughes has a BFA in Painting from Oxford University, and an MA in Museum and Gallery Education from the University of London. She has 20 years experience in Art Education in a range of settings and with diverse audiences. She worked as an educator and programmer in some of London’s foremost art galleries including Tate Modern, the National Gallery, and the National Portrait Gallery. Her painting practice comes from a collage-based surrealist aesthetic and explores landscape, figure and still life subjects in a contemporary idiom.
