Chelsea Yuill is an emerging curator and textile artist based in Vancouver, BC. As a textile artist, her hand sewn appliqués are wearable embellishments of glamour, costume, and kitschy romance while her weaving focuses on community engagement. In 2018, she completed her BFA in Critical and Cultural Practices with a minor in Curatorial Practices at Emily Carr University of Art + Design. During her time as an undergrad, she was the student director of ECUAD Student Exhibitions (2014-2017), co-curator of the alumni retrospective 88 Artists from 88 Years (2017), and Intertwined (2018), an exhibition presented in conjunction with the Textile Society of America symposium. This fall, Chelsea will begin her role as the Festival Coordinator of Capture Photography Festival. EAT YOUR TAIL is her forthcoming curatorial project which will be exhibited at Access Gallery in December 2019.
