Claire Douglas

Claire is an interdisciplinary artist currently residing in Vancouver. They fell in love with art while growing up in Toronto and finger painting alongside their grandfather in the sunroom. Claire attended an arts elementary school and participated in the Claude Watson Visual Arts intensive program at Earl Haig Secondary School. After high school, Claire moved to the East coast and studied printmaking, ceramics, embroidery, painting, silver casting, and art history at NSCAD University. Upon graduating in 2019, Claire decided it was time to explore the West Coast, and is currently finishing up a psychology/counseling degree at UBC. They are currently focused on developing a creative livelihood that balances both their practice and studies, in pursuit of eventually becoming an art therapist.
