Art and illustration are, for me, a return to the tactile. After a career in the world of feature animation, the pandemic offered a moment of stillness that allowed me to reconnect with my classical training.
My current practice focuses on botanical abstracts and symmetrical patterns. I am fascinated by the ‘hybrid’ nature of my own background and how that translates into my art—blending Korean pigments and European structure with an intuitive appreciation for organic texture. Each piece is an attempt to organize the wild beauty of British Columbia into a singular, balanced moment.
