“My photographic approach to and reaction to the natural and built environments are summed up in three phrases:
· fuelled by curiosity
· delighted by discovery
· inspired by beauty
Colour, line, texture and light attract my eye. I invite you to share the delight of what I discovered along the garden path or the city sidewalk, and I challenge you to notice what you have been overlooking.”
Raised in Southern Ontario, Jennifer graduated from the University of Manitoba’s Faculty of Architecture with a Bachelor of Interior Design (and the University Gold Medal). She worked in North Vancouver for over 27 years and lived there briefly before putting down roots in Vancouver where her dense flower garden provides an ever-changing outdoor studio.
She has exhibited in over two dozen solo, duo and group shows and fund-raising events. Her photographic images are available as prints, cards and calendars, as well as through the Art Rental Program of the North Vancouver Community Arts Council.
At the World Rose Festival 2009, her rose images received Best Photographic Entry in Show and two First Prize awards. She has also received three awards from the Canadian Association of Photographic Arts.
Studying with master photographers stimulates Jennifer to improve her craft and communicate her vision.
