Linda Sharp has a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Alberta. She works in fabric and paint, using oilsticks to capture movement and visual energy. Linda also hand fashions odd glass beads and jewellery made from them. Many of her wonderfully imperfect glass beads include sand from Vancouver beaches. Linda volunteers with North Vancouver Community Players, and Theatre West Van, designing graphics and painting sets. Contact Linda by email if you wish to see artwork, or see beads being made.
What You Will SeeLinda Sharp works with glass, paint, and textiles. Many of her glass beads have a heart of sand from well loved North Vancouver locations. Other beads include fine silver or copper inlays in the glass. Linda's paintings vibrate with movement and colour. Her stitched and painted textile work often includes subtle humour.
