Using the techniques of drawing, bookbinding, and printmaking, my art practice focuses on patterns, nature and the body. The materials I work with such as fabric, paper, ink, copper, limestone, wood, and water all help guide the direction of each piece. Ultimately, I hope that when people view my work that they are able to see many things, something that is real or familiar, but also something that feels strange, new, or different. When looking at my work, some good questions to think about are what does this remind me of and where have I seen that shape before?
