Oil painter Meg Bryden explores themes of place, history, and relationship in her work. Growing up on Vancouver Island, she frequently portrays the West Coast’s vivid beauty in her landscapes, cityscapes, figures, and nature subjects, all characterized by a powerful narrative quality.
Additionally, inspired by family connections and travel, Meg creates pieces based on her experiences in Iceland and the beauty of its environment. Her works emphasize bold colours, intricate textures, a strong sense of atmosphere, and sometimes even a little bit of humour.
