Megan LaCroix is a graduate from the textiles program at OCAD University in Toronto Ontario. Beginning her professional life as a preschool teacher she decided to pursue textiles in order to satisfy a lifelong interest in art and design.
Through her studies and inspired by the creative practice of artists such as Gertrude Stein, her work reflects an in depth investigation of creativity and making meaning through art.
Though she works in a variety of creative processes her most recent body of work utilizes appliqué, to create vibrant abstract compositions using found textiles. She currently works and resides in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia.
