MJ Holec

MJ Holec is a lesbian writer, painter, and explorer across mediums. As an artist and educator, she believes in creating a space for students to explore, play, and discover their own unique modes of expression. One of her primary interests is in multi-media responses to place and others’ artwork. With students, this can look like encouraging them to write poetry inspired by nature or to paint a response to someone else’s dance. You can find MJ teaching English at Langara College by day and painting in her living room with her two cats by night.
