bio
I received my BFA from Emily Carr University of Art + Design and my MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute, California. As a way to engage with my art community, I am volunteering as Assistant Curator at Lions Gate Hospital Foundation Healing Art Donation Program. Previously I was Vice President, Board of Directors at the Seymour Art Gallery, North Vancouver, BC and on the Board of Directors for the Contemporary Art Society of Vancouver as Chair, Artist Prize. My artwork has been shown and collected in Canada, USA, and Europe.
I live and work in North Vancouver, BC, Canada, as a guest on the unceded territories of the Musqueam, Skwxwú7mesh Úxwumixw, Stó:l?, and Tsleil-Waututh peoples.
artist statement
I create intuitive paintings that are a symbolic process of chaos. Having no definite plan, I embrace letting go, allowing the medium authority, I then translate and fine-tune the spontaneous gestural abstractions into images which have significance to me.
