Travels have taken Susanne from Europe to South America, to USA and last to Canada where she has lived since 1979. Initially an art student at Atelier Josse in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Susanne continued her formal education in the USA and in Canada. She attended college, the University of Alberta, and the Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver, B.C.
Susanne started out as a studio-based figure and portrait painter, who works from life and mostly with oil on canvas. However, during the last ten years her attention has mostly turned to en plein air painting. She enjoys going to different locations synthesizing the Vancouver- area landscapes and plein air painting now comprises most of her work.
A painter for 30 years she has exhibited in several galleries and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Alberta and in British Columbia. Susanne also has a strong commitment to fund raising events. Her work can be found in private and public collections throughout Canada, Argentina and Germany.
