WHAT YOU WILL SEE
In partnership with the Bowen Island Arts Council, four local artists pay homage to the daily rhythm and movement of Bowen Island life.
Every day, Bowen residents and visitors travel by BC Ferries to and from the mainland. This journey is represented in the works of Patricia Adams and Eleanor Rosenberg, whose paintings focus on the contemplative nature of the crossing and the picturesque views from the upper passenger decks.
The watercolours of Ann Beatty celebrate smaller modes of island transport, including the sailboats and kayaks moored at Snug Cove.
Jilly Watson moves the viewer away from the water, depicting with energetic colours the local businesses and people that make Bowen Island a unique place to live and create.
