Course Refund Policy

Note:  North Vancouver Community Arts Council (registered under BC Society Act and as a Charitable Organization with Canada Revenue Agency) operates under the name North Van Arts.

Course Cancellation by North Van Arts

North Van Arts reserves the right to cancel any class which does not meet a minimum enrollment. In the event of class cancellation, students will be notified by phone and/or email. If a class is cancelled by the North Van Arts a full refund will be given.

Course Cancellation by Student withdrawal

Withdrawal from classes, camps and workshops is permitted up to five business days prior to the start of the class. All refunds are subject to an administration fee of 20% of the class fee or $10 (whichever is greater). All withdrawals or requests for transfers must be made through the North Van Arts office by contacting the Arts Education Manager at 604-988-6844.

Students cancelling fewer than five business days before the start of class will not receive a refund (exemptions made for medical reasons accompanied by a doctor’s note.) North Van Arts is not responsible for classes missed by the student. Missed classes cannot be transferred, made-up, or carried to other sessions.

Course Late Registration

Provided that there is still space in a class, registration is accepted after the first class has already taken place. Tuition will be pro-rated to reflect classes missed.


Event Refund Policy

Event Tickets

No refunds or exchanges on event tickets. Event tickets are transferable to another attendee or guest if you cannot attend (unless otherwise stated). We cannot replace lost, stolen, damaged or destroyed tickets – please keep your tickets in a safe and secure place.

Event Cancellation or Rescheduling

We collect the ticket holder name and phone number and/or email address at the time of purchase. We will contact ticket holders as soon as possible to inform you of event changes. If you cannot attend the new date, you will be refunded upon request only. If North Van Arts cancels an event, ticket purchasers will be fully refunded by purchase method.


General Refund Policy

Art Rental

Monthly art rental fees are payable at the beginning of each monthly period, starting on the first day of rental.  Art rental fees are non-refundable and are not pro-rated.

Art Sales  /  The Shop Items / Calendars

All sales final.  No refunds or exchanges on gift box items or calendars.

Jury Fees

Jury Fees are non-refundable.

Membership Fees

Membership Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

North Shore Art Crawl

Registration Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Lawn signs are non-refundable.
